Native Counselling Services of Alberta’s mission is to promote the resilience of the lndigenous individual and family, through programs and services that are grounded in reclaiming our interconnectedness, reconciliation of relationships and self-determination.

To identify activities and how they relate to the vision, goals identified by Calgary Indigenous community. The Community Engagement and Partnership Coordinator will build on participants strengths, abilities and interests to develop and implement plans to support the Indigenous community in Calgary.
Currently, Native Counselling Services of Alberta is looking for the right candidate to fit a full-time position as the Community Engagement and Partnership Coordinator.


Specific responsibilities of the position include:
• To work cooperatively with NCSA staff and community agencies to ensure awareness of resources
accessible to the Indigenous community.
• Maintain and coordinate regular community meetings.
• Work in partnership with the City of Calgary to ensure awareness of issues and solutions for the
Indigenous community.
Our ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
• In-depth experience and working knowledge of Indigenous communities, cultures, healing,
and language.
• Demonstrated understanding of historic trauma and the impact of colonization on Indigenous
people.
• Possess Social Work degree, related human resource experience or, extensive experience working
with Indigenous community members.
• Strong interpersonal relation, conflict resolution, leadership and time management skills.
• Proficient knowledge of working with database and information technology.
• Ability to work as part of a team with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a reliable vehicle, valid Alberta driver’s license with required liability insurance for the
position, criminal record check, child intervention check.

Starting salary: $47,500 annual
