Prior experience before becoming a consultant I have worked as a Red Seal Industrial Millwright Mechanic since 1986 and finished my Blue Seal of business competencies with Alberta Apprenticeship branch in 2006.   My dream that I have been fulfilling is to illustrate to Indigenous youth and women in general is that we can do anything we put our desire and effort in.  We can change the world.  Project that I have worked on: Peace Keeping program for Pelican Narrows; Economic Development with Pelican Narrows and Cumberland House; Career Counseling and Apprenticeship Manager for Northlands Collège; freelance writing: Forced Serialization – Covid-19 Concerns – Human Trafficking – Saskatchewan Raising Hope program; working with 5th on 5th Youth Services…..as a few examples. 

Wanting to be a role model for women has lead me to complete more education:

The Northern Apprenticeship Committee (NAC) as a joint training committee indentures northerners: would like to present what we do for Saskatchewan’s remote communities and how we address barriers.  Our strategic plan is critical to our 16 year success.

Employee Development in Northern Communities: Corporate Investments in Northern Skills and Training – master’s Final paper 2013

  • This paper reviewed how employee development in northern communities needs corporate investment to improve: educational issues, opportunity for employee development, collaborative agreements, and how ‘Skill and Training Agreements’ have changed the dynamics of northern communities
