Challenging Stories and Understanding

Through an exploration of different historical moments that speak to the exclusion of groups of people, we can engage in a social analysis and engage in dialogue on present day realities and manifestations of our shared history. This is an essential element in community building in order to lay the groundwork for a common understanding of the realities of discrimination and racism.

While there are many many points of history that make up our community stories, this enclosed represents only a short compilation of snapshots in time that had important impacts for Indigenous, Métis, Black, Asian, people living with disability, Muslim, 2SLGTBQ+, and Jewish in our province.
