Exciting news from Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary

created: Apr 16, 2020

Good Afternoon colleagues and friends:

I hope that you and yours are doing well during this time.

As a valued partner in the work that I do with BGCC and with whom I have the privilege of working with in various capacities. I wanted to share some very exciting news with you!

I am excited to announce Aspen Family and Community Network Society’s (Aspen) and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary’s (BGCC) decision to come together and merge our long-standing social services agencies to create a new, unified organization that ensures stronger supports for the young people, families and communities that we serve. Together, we will encompass an even greater continuum of services to support people on every step of their journey.

Please watch this video message from Shirley Purves, CEO of Aspen and Jeff Dyer, CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary to learn about the vision for the new organization.

This will not change service delivery or programs, staff will continue to support with as much energy and attention with little to no disruption. I will continue to provide updates as we have them and ensure that I share all of the exciting upcoming details.

We hope you are as excited as we are about this announcement. Please feel free to follow us on social media as well.
