JOIN US FOR INDIGENOUS LANGUAGES DAY AT THE LIBRARY
In recognition of 2019 as the United Nations International Year of Indigenous Languages, Calgary Public Library would like to invite you to a special celebration to honour Treaty 7 Languages.
10 – 11 am | Indigenous Language Resource Centre Open House (Level 4)
Discover a learning and gathering place where Indigenous culture and languages are shared and celebrated.
11 am – 2 pm | Treaty 7 Book Launch (Level 1 – Patricia A. Whelan Performance Hall)
Join us as we acknowledge and celebrate the authors, illustrators and translators of 12 children’s books written in their respective Indigenous language.
The launch will be followed by a meet and greet with the authors and illustrators, and an opportunity to enjoy traditional foods.
Books are not available for purchase at this event.
