9th Annual Connect Event @ Carriage House Inn

Join us for the 9th annual Connect Event, a unique two-day conference that offers participants a better understanding of the challenges faced by Indigenous people in our community. Experience a learning journey toward well-being and reconciliation by breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma through shared dialogue and activities.

This year’s conference, Truth and Reconciliation, will focus on the truth that needs to happen before we can get to a place of reconciliation. We are happy to share that a number of notable speakers will be joining us this year, including Russ Baker, Roy Bear Chief, Hal Eagletail, Kerry Gladue, Dustin Louie, Payne Many Guns, Charlotte McLeod, and Cowboy Smithx.

You will have an opportunity to partake in various engagement activities with our speakers, as well as breakout sessions on topics such as cultural disconnect, poverty, addictions, and grief.

This conference is open to both youth and adults. A separate breakout session for youth will take place on the first day of the conference.

The cost of the two-day conference is $50, which includes breakfast and lunch.
Payments can be made through PayPal, cheque or at the door.
Free attendance for Elders and youth.
